The preferred choice for farmers of Agricultural Tracks

The clubs and activities outside of my classes in high school were probably the highlight of my education, and I can imagine students today are exposed to an ever-increasing selection of things to do.  Besides being a great opportunity to develop friendships, stay out late and avoid homework, these activities are an important piece of the pie when preparing for college.  Sports, Academic and Arts participation (to name a few) can demonstrate to universities that a young individual has drive, focus, passion and commitment.

In 1928, 33 boys from 18 states met in Kansas City, Missouri as a result of Walter S. Newman’s proposal to form an organization…

…that offered farm boys “a greater opportunity for self-expression and for the development of leadership. In this way they will develop confidence in their own ability and pride in the fact that they are farm boys.”

Today the National FFA Organization welcomes all sorts of individuals who have ambitions to become teachers, doctors, scientists, business owners and a lot more.  They provide a path to achievements in leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education by helping members develop their specific talents as they explore a wide range of ag careers.  So today your student could become a future farmer, a future biologist, a future chemist or future veterinarian.  The possibilities are endless.

Consider for your son or daughter, this valuable extracurricular activity that has stood the test of time through adaptation to today’s needs.  See them grow as they wear that familiar blue corduroy jacket and know they are part of an extraordinary support group that will guide them to a bright future.  Their motto says it all:  Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, Living to Serve
